Webelos Resident Camp
July 25-27, 2008
Beaumont Scout Reservation
2008 Theme: Deep Blue Sea
Three days, Two nights
$87 early bird Scout fee (register prior to May 31)

Who can come?

Cub Scouts now in the third or fourth grade should plan on attending (going into fourth or fifth grade)

Where is Beaumont?

Beaumont is located at 2429 State Route 45 N Rock Creek, OH 44084; just seven miles south of I-90E on State Route 45 (Exit 223).

How do I register?

Complete the youth and adult registration forms for each attending person.  Submit individual registration forms to your pack camping coordinator with a check made out to your pack.  Your camping coordinator will then compile the information they receive on the pack registration roster and submit all paperwork to the Council Service Center (2241 Woodland Ave, Cleveland, OH 44115) with full payment prior to May 31 (for early bird discount).  The fees are as follows:  Early bird Scout registration is $87 when registering and paying before May 31.  Regular fee is $95 per Scout, $65 per adult.  Provisional Scouts, without accompanying parent or pack leadership is $125.

Deep Sea Activities

WRC is three days and two nights of theme oriented activities designed to provide a safe, fun, and educational Scout camping experience.  Activities will include the harpoon and cannonball (bow and arrow and BB guns), skiff-handling (rowboats), boat building (crafts) and reef knots.  We will avoid the dangers of the deep blue sea by swimming in our swimming pool.  During the camp we will also play games and learn Scout skills.  WRC is a great chance for Webelos to experience the adventures they'll have at camp as Boy Scouts.

What will I eat?

Possible meals may include ‘submarine’ sandwiches, sea-weed salad, and other tasty theme oriented meals.  We'll eat in the Augustus Center in a family-style setting.  One night, dinner will be prepared in-site over your campfire.

How can I learn more?

Invite us to present to your Bear and Webelos Dens (Jeffrey@mysawdust.com).  You will also be invited to attend one of the pre-camp parent or leader meetings at the Council Service Center (2241 Woodland Ave., Cleveland, OH 44115)
