WEBELOS RESIDENT CAMP – AN INTERPLANETARY EXPERIENCE

We’ve spanned the universe and determined that our Webelos need the interplanetary experience that our space camp has to offer.  We will take our young commanders; teach them the skills necessary to fulfill their quest and prepare them to experience the many adventures that lie ahead in Boy Scouts.

You will blast off from your home base, travelling at light speed, finally arriving at Cape Beaumont – the new frontier.  There you will be greeted by the interplantary council (under the watchful eye of Darth Johnson) for an experience of a lifetime.  After your check-in at starfleet command, you will be shuttled to one of the many planet outposts to set up your home base while on your voyage.

Pick your launch date for this summer, Webelos Resident Camp – Session 1 – July 18-20, 2010 and Session 2 – July 23-25, 2010.

Cost:

Youth $90.00 Per Session
Adult $65.00 Per Session
If registered & paid prior to May 31, 2010!

Some of the opportunities that will be made available to you during your journey will be fishing in Klein Crater, swimming at Lunar Falls and learning rocket propulsion by building your own rockets.  You will also learn how to use a phaszar, sling asteroids and shoot at the stars.  Your meals will be provided at the Galley and rest & relaxation can be had at the Cantena

While at Cape Beaumont, our Webelos Commanders (Boy’s entering the 4th or 5th grade in the fall) will have vigorous training to hone their skills. Their regiment will be determined by grade, while still sharing common times. Both will be earning their Aquanat at Lunar Falls, Geologist at the Environmental Lab, and completing either all or most of the requirements of Sportsman at Area 51. Our second year Commanders will also have the opportunity to complete Outdoorsman over the course of their flight. The regiment will be intense, but the rewards vast.

While this is going on, the first year cadets will be learning how to assemble and use their phazar’s for the following year’s journey. The opportunity to earn their Whittln Chip will also be available.

The focus is skills, fun, and what lies ahead under the direction of a trained professional staff.
